Book your young climbers into a whole term of sessions in one go with our Flashpoint Juniors Term Booking. These are a series of weekly 1.5 hour sessions that focus on developing fundamental movement skills and climbing techniques along with plenty of climbing games so your kids can start crushing! The NICAS scheme is a nationally recognised climbing pathway designed to help children progress towards climbing for life – with technical, communication and safety skills learnt alongside physical climbing ability!

 

Flashpoint Juniors NICAS Bouldering L1-4 is suitable for children of any ability aged 7-15 who are looking to progress their climbing skills by following the NICAS Bouldering scheme.

When: Tuesday: 17:30-19:00. Thursday: 17:30-19:00. Saturday: 10:15-11:45 OR 16:45-18:15

 

One-off session:  For a one-off session, check out Flashpoint Juniors Individual.

Under 7s: This session is not suitable for children under the age of 7. For 5-6 year olds, we recommend checking out our Clip’n’Climb sessions. Children under the age of 5 may want to check out our Toddler Bounce sessions and toddler play area.

13-17 year olds: While you are welcome to participate in Flashpoint Juniors up until aged 15, children aged 13 and above may want to consider attending Flashpoint Youth, our beginner to advanced youth club.

Complete beginner? If you are totally new to climbing, you might find it useful to try out one of our Clip’n’Climb sessions first! These are 1 hour sessions in our dedicated Clip’n’Climb arena; here, you are attached to an auto belay line whilst you get to grips with climbing!

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your session. To allow time to get you checked in, get climbing shoes and leave you belongings in a locker. You must be registered at our centre to take part in our coaching sessions

Adult Registration here
Under 18 Registration information here if the participant is under the age of 14 they can not register for independent climbing, they can still take part in coaching sessions. Participants aged 7-12 must be accompanied by an adult to check-in each visit and must stay in the building throughout the session. Participants aged 13-17 may check in without an adult as long as the online waiver has been completed before the first session.

All participants must complete a waiver link will be sent with your booking confirmation.

We have a car park and there is also street parking around the centre. Our car park at times can be very busy please allow time to park.

Wear loose comfortable clothing (what you would wear to the gym). It can be a little chilly in the winter make sure you have some warm clothes. However, you will warm up while climbing- wear ‘layers’ that can be added/removed as required. Tie long hair back and remove jewellery. Bring some thin socks to wear with the climbing shoes if you are not using your own.

Parking: We have 45 parking spaces including 2 disabled space, there is some off street parking too!

Lockers: we have free to use coded lockers close to reception. However we do not take responsibility for your valuables. Ideally do not bring anything of significant value to the centre.

Cafe: we have a great cafe serving coffee, cake, sandwiches, hand-pulled pizza, soft drinks.

Disabled access: there is “step-free” access to the reception and ground floor, cafe and some seating

You can cancel your bookings so long as you give us reasonable notice. This is different depending on what type of session you have booked.

Single Sessions: 72 hrs notice required
Parties: 7 days notice required.
Term Bookings: 7 days notice required (from the first session)
