MORE OF WHAT YOU LOVE
More climbing has arrived! We’ve reshuffled some areas, doubled the wall space, improved our training facilities, added auto-belays, and moved to Griptonite! A huge amount of extra climbing has come to Swindon!
And for the little ones?
There’s a brand new ‘Den’ area added for younger climbers to help them find their feet on the boulder walls! Inspired by Flashpoint Cardiff’s awesome kids’ Den, we’ve put in fun shapes and boulders for the shortest wingspanned visitors!
Past updates:
The works are coming along QUICKLY! We already have the structure in for our new autobelay wall, as well as the back wall boulder going in! The gym and training area have been temporarily moved so that we have space to start building the Den in late June and our woody has been dismantled (DON’T PANIC! Our new training area will have even more of what you like in just a few weeks)!
Key Dates
From the 5th June, Flashpoint Swindon will be undergoing a HUGE expansion!
The gym has already been temporarily moved and the Long Island will be the first wall to be out of use from the start of the works. Please note, the cafe will be unable to serve hot food or cake throughout the works due to dust – we’re still offering prepackaged snacks and drinks though!
We’re aiming to minimise disruption while altering and rebuilding walls throughout the centre. The entire build should take around 2 months so we’re hoping to be completely redone by the end of July, in time for our Summer BOFF!
