THE BOFF! IS BACK!
Get ready for a BIG one as Flashpoint Swindon’s biggest event of the year: the BOFF! returns, bigger and better than ever. Join us for an epic celebration of our centre’s massive expansion. Witness the grand unveiling of our newly revamped centre, featuring twice as much climbing, fresh new holds and the same great atmosphere!

Indulge in a feast of flavours with delicious pizza and loads of other food and drink options, ensuring your energy levels remain high throughout the festivities. Explore an array of climbing stalls and demos and unleash your inner child on our brand-new Freedog Swindon activities!

The main event, of course, will be the myriad of mega climbing comps running through the day, set and tested by the legends over at Impact!

With categories catering to all ages and abilities, including Youth, Junior, Para, and Open, there’s a place for everyone here! If you can’t tell, we’re buzzing!

WHAT’S ON:

Climbing, climbing and more climbing! We’ve got Youth, Junior, Open and Para comps running in the day, (kids in the morning and adults in the afternoon). Each comp will be followed by a showstopper bouldering finals to find the best of the best! Alongside the climbing competitions, we’re hosting a range of companies and brands to give you a mini-festival experience.

These include: Beta, Wild Country, Flashed and Tenaya.

Plus: RaysCoStudio, Rise Physiotherapy, Girigiri, Reliko, Bee Kind Climbing, Crag Swag and Climbers against Cancer.

Plus more names to be announced! (see, we’re just like a music festival).

We’ll also be running discounted sessions on our brand new Freedog Swindon activities centre! There will also be loads of food and drinks, raffle boulders, hanging challenges, buddy blocs and giveaways throughout the day!

FORMAT:

Youth 7 – 11 M/F- Qualification 20 boulders. 2 Beast Routes. Finals 3 Boulders (5 finalists)
Junior 12 – 15 M/F-Qualification 20 boulders. 2 Beast Routes. Finals 3 Boulders (5 finalists)
Open M/F – Qualification 20 Boulders. 2 Beast Routes. Finals 3 Boulders (6 finalists)
Para M/F – Separate Para Tour – 20 Boulders. 2 Beast Routes (no final) – Podium for 1st 2nd 3rd

FREEDOG:

We have a massive activity centre park attached in the same building as Flashpoint! We’re not going to be open to the public for Freedog on the day of the BOFF!, but we’re opening up the BRAND NEW centre at a reduced rate for anyone who’s keen! We’ll have limited spaces available, you can book on the day.

CAFE:

The café will be open throughout the day from 8:15 am until 10:00 pm with a selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and delicious food.
Alcohol is served from 12 pm (We strictly do not permit customers/participants to be intoxicated prior to or during any activities in our centre).

Getting here: We have limited parking, but are near to multiple bus links and greatly encourage car sharing!  Link to google maps: Here

Lockers: We have free-to-use cage lockers close to reception. These require a padlock, bring your own or purchase them at reception. However, we do not take responsibility for your valuables.

Disabled access: There is “step-free” access to the reception and all the climbing is on the ground floor. The café seating area is accessed by stairs.
